Eva Rigney
Taking Action, Making Myrtle Beach a Better Place to Live.

Eva Rigney

For Myrtle Beach Mayor

Myrtle Beach is more than just a destination — it’s our home, our heritage, and our hope for a brighter future. But the challenges we face today — from crime and saftey to rising costs and our image — demand more than talk. They demand action.

I am committed to protecting our family beach, supporting local businesses, ensuring clean and safe public spaces, and creating opportunities for all residents — not just visitors. This means investing in sustainable infrastructure, enforcing community protections, and giving our community a real voice in the decisions that affect our everyday lives.

We can no longer wait for change — we must be the change. Together, let’s take action, raise our standards, reclaim our community and build a Myrtle Beach we can all be proud of — for today, and for generations to come.

WHAT OUR COMMUNITY IS SAYING

"I stopped off at the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce vistor's center and spoke with the lady behind the counter and ask her was it safe in Myrtle Beach and that I heard about the mass shooting. She told me "Yes it is safe and that I would be fine". Walked out of the Chamber and drove over to where the mass shooting occurred and spoke with several employees as well as one manager and one business owner. These are the comments I received: Employees--I ask was it safe in the area and was flat told by them all NO. Don't be out here beyond 11PM"

"Myrtle Beach- High rent, low wages, high sales tax"

Myrtle Beach is just not family friendly anymore nor is it a safe place to be. Too many shooting nowadays. So sad.
